CONTENTIOUS CONSTRUCTION LAWYER

I am working with several well ranked Legal 500 national and international firms who have opportunities to join their expanding contentious construction teams in London.

My clients are looking to appoint ambitious lawyers with 2+ years PQE who wish to advance their abilities in construction and knowledge at a highly ranked law practice.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Represent clients in construction-related disputes, including contractual issues, delays, defects, and claims for breach of contract.
• Handle adjudications, arbitrations, and litigation from inception through to conclusion.
• Provide strategic advice to clients on risk management, contract negotiations, and dispute avoidance.
• Draft and review a wide range of construction contracts and related documents.
• Work closely with clients, contractors, developers, and other key stakeholders in the construction industry.
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, case law, and industry developments.

IDEAL CANDIDATES

• Qualified solicitor with at least 2+ years’ experience in contentious construction law.
• Proven track record in handling construction disputes, particularly in litigation and alternative dispute resolution (ADR).
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to manage high-pressure situations.
• Excellent analytical and drafting abilities.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and other professionals in the industry.

The PQE level is a guide and applications will be accepted from candidates with good experience from NQ level.
