What you'll do:

As an In House Regulatory Lawyer, your role will be pivotal in providing expert legal advice and representation. You will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload of healthcare regulatory matters. Working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team, you will delegate tasks effectively while also participating in training and project work. This role offers the opportunity to engage with key stakeholders and develop broader commercial awareness.

  • Manage a caseload of healthcare regulatory matters, including GMC, GDC, and inquest cases.
  • Provide advice to members and internal stakeholders; prepare cases for hearings.
  • Represent or instruct barristers to represent our members at hearings before committees, tribunals, and coroners.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary case management team.
  • Delegate and supervise tasks effectively.
  • Participate in training, project work, and key stakeholder engagement.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the In House Regulatory Lawyer position brings proven experience as a practising solicitor, barrister or Chartered Legal Executive. With at least 4 years PQE experience under your belt, you have managed healthcare regulatory, inquest or disciplinary cases. Your strong communication skills enable you to interface effectively with various stakeholders. Your excellent time management skills ensure that you can meet tight deadlines without compromising on quality. Lastly, your commercial acumen allows you to think critically about risk and determine the most cost-effective resolutions.

  • Practising solicitor, barrister, or Chartered Legal Executive with a minimum of 4 years PQE experience.
  • Experience in managing a caseload of healthcare regulatory, inquest, and/or disciplinary cases.
  • Strong communication skills to interface with a range of stakeholders.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Commercial and risk thinking to determine the most cost-effective way to see a case through to resolution.
