Construction Partner | Award-Winning Legal 500 Firm | West End, London

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced Construction Partner to join a cutting-edge, award-winning law firm in London's West End. This is a rare and unique position, offering not only the chance to join one of the most dynamic firms in the market but also the opportunity to secure equity partnership, either in the future or immediately for the right candidate.

The Firm

Established in the mid-90s, this highly respected firm is known for its national reputation and strong presence in the West End. With a dynamic and ever-evolving practice, they represent leading names across several areas of practice including real estate, finance, and construction, with a particular focus on innovative solutions to complex client matters.

Ranked highly in the Legal 500, the firm's Construction team offers world-class legal services, advising developers, contractors, investors, and public sector bodies. The firm's continued growth and success have led to a significant increase in headcount, and the department is poised for further expansion in the coming years.

The Role

This role is designed for a Construction Partner with significant experience in non-contentious construction law, ideally with a focus on major infrastructure projects, real estate development, procurement, and construction contracts.

You will have the opportunity to build on an already high-performing team while further developing the firm's offering in non-contentious construction matters. The firm is seeking a driven individual with strong client relationships and a commercial mindset who can contribute to the continued success of the practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with developers, contractors, investors, and other key clients.
  • Advise on a broad range of non-contentious construction matters, including contract negotiation, procurement, project management, and risk assessment.
  • Develop and expand an existing high-value client base, contributing to the firm's growth and future direction.
  • Play a key role in business development, strengthening the firm's presence in the construction sector.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments, including Real Estate and Finance, to provide a seamless client service.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Extensive experience in non-contentious Construction law with a focus on major projects and contract negotiation (roughly 7+ years PQE).
  • Leadership: Proven ability to manage and mentor junior team members, with a strategic vision for growing and developing a department.
  • Client-Focused: Strong relationships with developers, contractors, and investors, with the ability to manage complex, high-value projects.
  • Business Development: A proactive and driven approach to networking, client acquisition, and expanding the firm's market presence.

Why This Role?

  • Equity Partnership: Opportunity to secure equity partnership in the future or immediately for the right individual, depending on experience and business case.
  • High-Quality Work: Engage in major infrastructure and development projects for leading clients in the sector.
  • Growth-Oriented Firm: Be part of an expanding, forward-thinking practice with a strong reputation in the market.
  • Prime Location: Join a highly regarded West End firm with excellent access to the legal and business community.
  • Competitive Package: Above-market salary, generous benefits, and a performance-based bonus structure.

This is an exciting chance for a Construction Partner to take the next step in their career, securing a leading role with a clear pathway to equity partnership.
