CAYMAN ISLANDS - FINANCIAL SERVICES REGULATORY LAWYER - 5+ PQE

This top offshore law firm has an excellent new opportunity for an ambitious Associate or Senior Associate, with experience in high level Financial Services and broader business regulatory matters, to join their top-level team in the Cayman Islands. The role will provide exposure to some of the best, evolving offshore legal work in the market, and will work as part of, and be supported by, a highly successful and collegiate team. Key aspects of the role will include: (i) advising major clients on a range of financial services regulatory and compliance matters, such as AML/CFT, beneficial ownership, Data Protection, FATCA/CRS, and other international initiatives, such as the OECD BEPS regime; (ii) liaising with regulatory, administrative and enforcement authorities incl. as part of client onsite inspections; (iii) researching, analysing and developing policy and legislation; (iv) working closely with a client base that comprises blue chip domestic and international clients, particularly in the investment, banking and fiduciary sectors, as well as all major onshore law firms; and (v) advising in relation to the regulation of Crypto and Fintech Offerings. The team are seeking someone with high-level relevant experience, ideally gained within a leading law firm, or top 4 accountancy firm, in a major onshore or offshore jurisdiction, along with a first rate academic background, who is seeking an exciting and varied, long-term, international career opportunity.  Applicants will need at least 5 years' relevant post-qualifying experience, along with a Cayman, UK or Commonwealth legal qualification. A highly competitive, tax free, package is on offer, which combines with the fantastic lifestyle benefits of the Caymans. The role also carries excellent long-term prospects within this thriving team and practice.  Don't miss this stand-out international opportunity - please apply now for details!
