THE ROLE

The London office is seeking a talented Property and Secured Lending Lawyer to join its thriving Secured Lending Team.

The firm and team has rankings in both Legal500 ranked and in Chambers. You will handle a diverse portfolio of property and secured lending matters, acting for borrowers and lenders.

The Property and Property Finance teams work closely and you will be part of an established and welcoming team whose split of the work is across secured lending, residential transactions with finance elements (and commercial property if desired). The work can be tailored to suit the candidate's preferences.

ABOUT YOU

Key Responsibilities
* Managing a varied caseload of transactions acting mainly for property investors in both acquisition and refinance scenarios, involving single properties and portfolios.
* Advising lenders and borrowers on secured lending matters
* Drafting and negotiating facility agreements and security documentation
* There is scope for including commercial property acquisitions, disposals, and lease transactions within the role if desired
* Managing client relationships and developing new business opportunities
* Mentoring junior members of the team

A qualified solicitor or CILEX with 2pqe+ and 3 years overall experience in property and / or secured lending
Strong track record in property transactional work acting for investors and the ability to handle standard residential conveyancing work
Experience acting for borrowers in short term / bridging lending and long term lending scenarios
Excellent knowledge of conveyancing practices including registrations and Land Registry requirements.
Previous experience acting for lenders is highly desirable but not essential (training can be provided in this area)
