The Role

An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a talented Leveraged Finance Associate to join a top-tier team at a premier international law firm in London. This role offers exposure to some of the most sophisticated and high-value finance transactions in the market, advising leading financial institutions, private equity sponsors, and corporate borrowers on complex financing structures.

The successful candidate will play a key role in high-profile leveraged buyouts, syndicated lending, and acquisition finance matters, working alongside leading figures in the industry. You will be given significant responsibility, direct client engagement, and a platform to develop your career at the highest level.

Key Responsibilities

Advising on leveraged and acquisition finance transactions, including sponsor-backed financings and syndicated lending. Drafting and negotiating key documentation, including facility agreements, intercreditor arrangements, and security packages. Managing transactions from inception to closing, ensuring seamless execution in high-stakes deals. Engaging in structured finance and complex cross-border matters. Building and maintaining strong client relationships with financial institutions, private equity firms, and multinational corporations. Mentoring junior team members and contributing to the firm’s thought leadership in the finance space.

About You

Experience: 3–7 years’ PQE from a top-tier firm, with a strong focus on leveraged finance and corporate finance transactions. Technical Excellence: Strong command of facility agreements, security documentation, and inter-creditor arrangements. Commercial Awareness: Ability to navigate complex financing structures with a commercial mindset, delivering pragmatic and innovative solutions. Client-Focused: Strong interpersonal skills, able to build trusted relationships with financial institutions and high-profile clients. Drive & Ambition: A self-starter with the appetite to take on responsibility in high-value transactions and contribute to business development.
