Job Details

Professional Negligence Associate
Location: Bristol
Salary: Competitive

I’m currently working with a client experiencing an exciting period of growth, particularly within their Complex Litigation teams. Right now, I’m looking to speak with Associates/Senior Associates to join their Complex Professional Negligence team. If you’re passionate about managing a varied caseload of claimant professional negligence matters – working with both individuals and business clients – this could be a fantastic opportunity for you to develop your career in a supportive and collaborative environment.
As a non-traditional firm, their business model sets them apart from other mid-sized firms. They help millions of customers across the UK resolve legal issues; whether it’s a contract, property, employment, or personal injury disputes.

The Professional Negligence team handles intermediate and multi-track claims, as well as property misrepresentation disputes and other commercial litigation cases. The position comes with opportunities for early responsibility; the chance to manage cases from inception through to ADR or trial and aid other team members.

You'll be experienced in professional negligence (claimant or defendant), with strong case-handling skills, knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules, and an understanding of pre-action protocols. Experience with mediation and other forms of ADR is beneficial, and any exposure to property misrepresentation claims would be a bonus (training provided).

In return, the firm offer a highly competitive benefits package including a generous pension scheme; group income and legal protection; products designed to support your well-being; 25 days holiday + BH (with the option to buy five more); discounted gym memberships; membership in Sports and Social Club for exclusive events and outings; MAT leave (20 weeks fully paid) and PAT leave (4 weeks fully paid).

Their newly refurbished city-centre offices are modern and welcoming, and they place immense value on employees and their well-being, offering flexible working options (40% in office) and the possibility of part-time hours.

To apply for this position, please send an updated CV to mohamed.hamza@qedlegal.com. For a confidential chat regarding this position, or an overview of the Southwest legal market, reach out to 07300 236070.
