The Role
As a Senior Planning Lawyer, you will join a dynamic team advising on high-profile projects across the UK. Working with clients from diverse sectors, including residential, commercial, infrastructure, and environmental industries, your role will involve:
- Providing strategic advice on large-scale developments and nationally significant infrastructure projects.
- Drafting and negotiating complex planning and highway agreements.
- Managing compulsory purchase orders and guiding compensation matters.
- Advising on Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs), Habitats Regulations Assessments (HRAs), and other regulatory considerations.
- Supporting judicial reviews, appeals, and planning inquiries.
- Collaborating with colleagues across departments to deliver integrated legal solutions for real estate and infrastructure clients.

The Ideal Candidate
- Be a qualified solicitor with 2+ PQE in Planning Law.
- Possess experience with relevant legislation (e.g., Town & Country Planning Act).
- Have a strong track record with compulsory acquisitions, compensation claims, EIA/HRA, and judicial review processes.
- Demonstrate excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to manage complex work efficiently.
- Be proactive, solutions-focused, and capable of delivering value to clients.
