A highly regarded US law firm is seeking a talented and commercially astute Tax Associate to join its small but expanding London office. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic and expanding tax practice, advising on complex and high-value transactions.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in tax law, with experience supporting M&A transactions, venture capital financing, international business structuring, and funds tax. The role will involve close collaboration with clients, as well as working alongside other specialist teams within the firm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advising on the tax aspects of M&A transactions, including corporate and individual-level tax considerations.
- Providing tax structuring advice to internationally mobile clients.
- Supporting venture capital and private equity transactions.
- Collaborating with the firm’s US tax practice on UK/US advisory work.
- Engaging with clients at all levels, from investors and founders to in-house tax teams, tailoring advice to suit different levels of technical understanding.
Candidate Profile:
- UK-qualified solicitor with a valid Solicitors Practising Certificate (or eligibility to obtain one).
- 2-5 years’ PQE in tax law within a leading law firm.
- Strong academic background and technical expertise in tax advisory and transactional support.
- Commercial awareness and the ability to communicate complex tax issues in a clear and practical manner.
- A proactive approach and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
