Planning Lawyer Locum

LAW Absolute is recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority based in South London, for a planning lawyer locum for an initial contract of 3-months, and very likely to extend. You will provide full support and advice for a wide range of planning matters, including attending a monthly Planning Committee meeting.

To apply you will be:

• An England and Wales qualified lawyer, barrister or chartered legal executive, with prior UK local government experience Experienced handling a caseload of planning matters Able to attend the office on a hybrid working basis of 1-2 days per week in the office

Essential experience:

• Experience handling a caseload of planning matters such as planning agreements, environmental impact assessments, enforcement powers, highways Experience defending judicial proceedings challenging the grant of planning permission would be desirable
