An opportunity has arisen for a talented Corporate Associate to join a well-regarded team based in the British Virgin Islands (BVI). The team is known for its collaborative culture and commitment to delivering high-quality legal services across a broad spectrum of corporate and financial matters.

The role involves providing strategic, technical, and procedural advice on a variety of corporate matters, often with a multi-jurisdictional element. These may include advising on companies, shareholder issues, director duties, investments, banking and financial transactions, and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will work closely with a team of experienced professionals and contribute to the ongoing growth of the practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver technically sound legal opinions and advice to clients.
  • Ensure the quality of client services, including managing support staff contributions.
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Prepare fee estimates and manage the financial aspects of client matters.
  • Contribute to the management and development of junior team members.
  • Ensure efficient management of time and resources to maximise effectiveness.
  • Participate in non-chargeable activities that support the department and the wider firm.

Candidate Requirements:

  • England & Wales qualified Solicitor or Barrister with 2–3 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Experience at a leading law firm is essential. Interest in cryptocurrency and regulatory matters is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong analytical skills and a detail-oriented approach.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities effectively and perform under pressure.

What’s Offered:

This position offers an excellent opportunity for a dedicated lawyer to work on high-calibre corporate matters within a dynamic, collaborative team environment. The role is well-suited for candidates with a strong academic background, technical expertise, and a desire to advance their career within a globally respected firm. The successful candidate will also enjoy a competitive remuneration and the opportunity to live and work in the vibrant setting of the BVI, contributing to a supportive and innovative workplace.

If you possess the requisite skills and are ready to take the next step in your career, we encourage you to apply by sending your CV and supporting information in confidence to james@agnewobrien.com.
