An opportunity has arisen for a talented Corporate Associate to join a well-regarded team based in the British Virgin Islands (BVI). The team is known for its collaborative culture and commitment to delivering high-quality legal services across a broad spectrum of corporate and financial matters.
The role involves providing strategic, technical, and procedural advice on a variety of corporate matters, often with a multi-jurisdictional element. These may include advising on companies, shareholder issues, director duties, investments, banking and financial transactions, and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will work closely with a team of experienced professionals and contribute to the ongoing growth of the practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver technically sound legal opinions and advice to clients.
- Ensure the quality of client services, including managing support staff contributions.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Prepare fee estimates and manage the financial aspects of client matters.
- Contribute to the management and development of junior team members.
- Ensure efficient management of time and resources to maximise effectiveness.
- Participate in non-chargeable activities that support the department and the wider firm.
Candidate Requirements:
- England & Wales qualified Solicitor or Barrister with 2–3 years of post-qualification experience.
- Experience at a leading law firm is essential. Interest in cryptocurrency and regulatory matters is desirable but not essential.
- Strong analytical skills and a detail-oriented approach.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to manage competing priorities effectively and perform under pressure.
