Senior Associate – Court of Protection – Basingstoke with hybrid working
Client
A top ranked and award-winning international law firm.
Role
- Advising and assisting individuals, their families, and trustees on a broad range of issues arising from catastrophic personal injury, supporting litigation lawyers throughout the conduct of claim
- Work will largely focus on financial management; however, you will also be involved in welfare matters such as care funding, welfare management and issues relating to capacity
- Working closely with the Court of Protection, the individual, and their family to establish long-term relationships and ensuring all decisions are in their best interests
- Deal with your own caseload of clients, drafting routine and non-routine applications to the CoP with accompanying documentation including witness statements
- Liaising with senior members of the appropriate team on policies and general management client matters
You
- 6+ PQE with experience in Court of Protection
- Expected to be able to run own caseload with supervision and work to deadlines
- Good working knowledge of OPG deputy standards
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- An interest in and enthusiasm for business development
