IT / IP / DP LAWYER - 1-2 PQE

This premier US and international law firm have an excellent new opportunity for an Associate to join their thriving IT, IP & Data Protection transactions group in London. Their busy international practice handles a varied range of high-end technology, IP and DP matters, and assists a variety of international clients across industries on major projects, including large outsourcing deals, cloud contracts and licensing arrangements. The group also work closely with the firm's leading corporate and private equity teams on their most complex transactions, including with respect to the evolving challenges and legal frameworks around areas such as big data, AI, IoT, life sciences, and fintech. They additionally assist their finance, tax, and litigation & arbitration colleagues on tech and IP related matters, and provide stand-alone advice on a variety of non-contentious such as the regulation of technology (including AI). For this particular role, the team are especially seeking someone with a genuine interest, and both technical and legal strengths, in the areas of tech and IP, who is able to effectively contribute to the tech, IP, and DP aspects of major corporate transactions, as well as being able to advise widely on these topics on a stand-alone basis. Experience in stand-alone tech and IP agreements would also be very helpful. As tech, IP and DP are areas in constant growth, it's key for the individual to actively keep abreast of relevant legal and regulatory case-law and industry-specific developments, and to also enjoy contributing regularly to external and internal publications, and attending key events in these areas.
