Join a leading Legal 500-ranked firm known for its exceptional legal services and commitment to excellence. An opportunity has arisen for a talented and ambitious Construction Solicitor to join our clients award-winning team in their Bury St Edmunds office.

This role requires delivering high-quality commercial advice to a diverse client base, including developers, main contractors, subcontractors, and construction professionals.

The Construction Department offers comprehensive advice on all aspects of construction law, with a client base ranging from contractors and subcontractors to developers, funders, and private individuals. You will support projects from their inception to completion, offering a friendly and supportive environment that encourages professional growth and career development.

This successful practice has been delivering comprehensive legal services for over a century, offering expertise across a wide range of sectors nationally and internationally. Recognised consistently in both the Legal 500 and Chambers directories, they pride themselves on providing practical advice and fostering long-term partnerships with their clients to become their legal provider of choice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee a caseload of contentious and non-contentious construction matters.
  • Support senior associates and partners with more complex cases.
  • Deliver commercial and strategic legal advice to clients in the construction sector.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Demonstrate excellent client relationship management skills.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in contentious construction matters is essential.
  • Prior experience with adjudications and TCC work is required.
  • Non-contentious construction experience is highly desirable.
  • Business development skills and experience are advantageous.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
