Job Details

Our client is a major global law firm with an established and longstanding reputation in the UK, where they are headquartered.
Their top-ranked UK-based Energy & Infrastructure team advises clients on M&A transactions across the world. They act on deals that encompass all major purchase and divestment structures in the marketplace, ranging from smaller-scale farm-outs to high-value, multi-jurisdictional corporate and asset transactions.
Clients include major and super-major oil and gas companies, renewable developers, financial institutions, private equity firms, and government agencies.
Due to consistent and growing client demand, the team now has an opportunity for an able and ambitious junior to mid-level Associate to join them.
Key Requirements:
To be successful in your application, you will be a qualified Lawyer, preferably with experience from and currently at a respected City firm or overseas equivalent. You will most likely have:
- Between 2 and 4 years' post-qualification experience (PQE)
- Excellent academics
- Demonstrable experience in corporate/commercial transactions and/or projects, particularly within the energy and infrastructure sectors
- Experience in some or all of the following areas:
- Private M&A
- Other corporate transactions such as joint ventures
- Complex commercial contracts
- Project development
- Utility sector regulation
- Aptitude to work on large, high-profile, and technically complex transactions.
New Zealand/Australian-qualified candidates with suitable experience will definitely be considered.
