Private Wealth Associate (4-6 PQE)

Cayman Islands

Leading Offshore Firm

Opportunity:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and high-calibre Associate to join the private wealth team of an internationally respected firm. Renowned for their technical expertise and commercial awareness, this client offers a full range of private wealth legal services. Their clientele includes trustees, fiduciaries, family offices, settlors, beneficiaries, and their advisors. With a reputation for flexibility and delivering creative, solution-oriented advice, they pride themselves on providing responsive and agile service in an ever-changing legal landscape.

As part of their expanding private wealth team, they are looking for a motivated Associate with a strong academic and professional pedigree. This is an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, supporting complex and high value matters across non-contentious and advisory work. The firm also offers exposure to contentious issues, providing a comprehensive approach to client service.

Candidate Profile:

  • 4–6 years PQE with a Cayman, UK, or Commonwealth qualification.
  • Solid knowledge and experience in international private client law, including related corporate and regulatory matters.
  • Strong drafting skills, excellent interpersonal communication, and the ability to work independently with appropriate supervision.
  • A proactive approach to business development and a keen interest in delivering innovative solutions to complex client needs.
  • Experience working in or with offshore jurisdictions would be advantageous but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing and coordinating client work delegated by the partners.
  • Delivering exceptional, timely, and professional client service.
  • Providing legal advice to clients, with responsibilities appropriate to your level of experience.
  • Drafting and reviewing legal documents.
  • Collaborating with colleagues on multidisciplinary and international projects.
  • Supporting and mentoring junior team members.
  • Contributing to business development initiatives and assisting with client onboarding.
  • Ensuring compliance with AML policies and procedures while maintaining meticulous time recording and billing.

What's Offered:

This position offers a rare opportunity to join a leading team in a highly regarded firm, where you can work on sophisticated matters in an intellectually stimulating environment. The role is ideal for a committed private wealth lawyer looking to further their career while contributing to the growth and success of a well-established practice. A comprehensive financial package is offered (tax free) plus relocation assistance.

To explore this opportunity please submit your recent CV and supporting information in confidence to james@agnewobrien.com or apply via this website.
