The Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Employment Associate (1-4 years PQE) to join the growing Employment team in the firm's Bristol office. This role offers the chance to manage a diverse and high-quality caseload, working closely with Partners and senior team members. The work will span both contentious and non-contentious employment matters, with a primary focus on representing respondents in employment tribunal claims.

The successful candidate will advise employers on a wide range of issues, including disciplinary actions, grievances, restructurings, and redundancies. Additionally, the role involves supporting clients with employment-related documentation, such as drafting consultancy agreements, settlement agreements, staff handbooks, and providing guidance on outsourcing contracts and restrictive covenants.

The firm's client base is diverse, ranging from small start-ups to large national corporations, and the team is experiencing an influx of work due to the reputation and expertise of its senior lawyers. This is an excellent opportunity to advance a legal career by learning from top practitioners in the field.

The Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will be a qualified solicitor with at least 1-4 years PQE in employment law, ideally with experience in a reputable employment team and a passion for further developing expertise in this area.

The successful candidate will have strong commercial awareness, excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills, and the ability to manage workloads effectively. A proactive attitude toward business development and a keen interest in staying current with developments in employment law is essential. The candidate will also thrive in a collaborative and supportive team environment, contributing to the firm's positive culture.
