The Role:
This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Non-Contentious Construction Partner to join a well-respected and highly ranked practice in Taunton. In this senior role, you will provide strategic legal guidance and expert advice to clients in the construction industry, assisting with complex construction projects across the region.
You will work with a wide range of clients, including developers, contractors, architects, and consultants, helping them navigate the full lifecycle of non-contentious construction matters. From contract negotiation to procurement, risk management, and project delivery, you'll be at the forefront of shaping key projects within the sector.
With the support of a national network of lawyers, you will have access to resources to handle work where required. Additionally, there is a strong emphasis on business development and networking, with support in attracting and winning new work. The role also offers the exciting opportunity to grow your own regional team, driving the expansion of the non-contentious construction practice in the South West.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and grow the firm's non-contentious construction practice, shaping its strategic direction and expanding its regional footprint.
- Provide expert legal advice on all aspects of non-contentious construction law, including contract negotiation, procurement, risk management, and project delivery.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships, delivering tailored solutions that address their specific needs and challenges.
- Collaborate across practice areas to provide comprehensive and integrated legal support to clients, ensuring a holistic approach to their business needs.
- Mentor and manage junior lawyers and support staff, helping them develop professionally and technically.
- Stay current with industry trends and regulations, ensuring that clients benefit from proactive legal advice and remain compliant with evolving standards.
