Clifton Legal is the legal division of Clifton Search - a specialist search and selection recruitment firm. We are a niche, boutique firm and focus purely on the legal and corporate governance markets. Our primary focus is on opportunities from newly qualified to General Counsel level.

We set up Clifton in 2014 to fulfil what we believed was a gap in the market to provide clients and candidates in our core markets with the knowledge and connections of a specialist and experienced recruitment partner allied to a pro-active and integrated approach. In essence we bring the professionalism and targeted networking approach of a search solution but with a functional rather than sector driven model. We augment this with the personal touch, flexibility and proactive rate of response of a traditional contingent recruitment service.

The leadership team has c50 years of recruitment experience and as experienced recruiters with a proven track record, we have a deep knowledge and understanding of our markets, a large network of legal and governance professionals and a genuine passion for delivering a professional, honest and quality service to all stakeholders within the recruitment process.

We are rigorous in ensuring that we have a thorough understanding of both candidate and client requirements at the outset to ensure the delivery of a well-matched service and a successful campaign for both parties.

Our long-standing client base is comprised of large UK, US and European listed multinationals and corporate businesses and spans a wide range of sectors. We operate out of offices in Bristol and London but recruit right across the UK, Europe and the US.
