Job Details
Our client, a major offshore law firm, seeks a skilled regulatory lawyer to advise financial institutions, including banks, insurance companies, investment funds, digital asset businesses, fiduciaries, and securities investment firms, on a broad range of regulatory matters. Working closely with major onshore law firms and global financial institutions, the successful applicant will provide expert advice on regulatory developments impacting Bermuda and clients, as well as compliance and enforcement matters.
Your responsibilities will involve guiding clients through regulatory updates, licensing requirements, marketing restrictions, and reporting obligations, as well as assisting with enforcement actions such as investigations, settlement agreements, and related procedures. You will also contribute to the development of the practice by strengthening client relationships, sharing knowledge, and participating in training and industry events.
The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of post-qualification experience in a regulatory team at a leading international firm and be admitted to practise law in a qualifying Commonwealth jurisdiction. A strong academic background, stable career history, and exceptional analytical and communication skills are essential. You will need to be meticulous, articulate, and highly effective in client-facing situations.
This position offers a highly competitive financial package (circa 8% tax) along with comprehensive relocation support. You will benefit from opportunities for career progression and professional development within a modern and progressive law firm that prioritises lawyer well-being and fosters professional growth.
To express your interest in this outstanding opportunity, please submit your CV and supporting information in confidence to james@agnewobrien.com or apply via this website.
