Consumer Regulation - Leading Investment Bank - Legal Counsel

Hydrogen is working with a leading Investment Bank who are looking to recruit a Lawyer with consumer finance regulation experience to join their Asset Finance Group with a focus on their Motor Finance business. This is an excellent opportunity for a contentious or non-contentious lawyer to join a world-renowned bank supporting across a broad range of high profile and interesting work.



What will I be doing?

• Provide legal support across various activities, primarily focusing on motor finance-related matters.
• Advise on complex complaints, particularly in relation to finance commissions.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external counsel on litigation involving funders, dealers, customers, and suppliers.
• Support the creation and review of transaction documentation and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Manage legal risks and contribute to key business initiatives, new products, and projects.
• Assist with data protection and other ad hoc legal support as needed.

What are we looking for?

• Regulatory knowledge as applicable to the role including CCA, FCA Handbook and Data Protection.
• Experience gained working in consumer finance regulation with a leading law firm or in-house organisation whether that be contentious or non-contentious.
• Relationship management and communication: ability to create and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, especially external lawyers, introducers, front office, and team members.
