Job Details

A well-known financial services organisation, which is undergoing a major period of growth, are recruiting for an in house legal counsel to join their well-established 10 strong team Reporting into the Head of Legal, this role will have exposure to senior members of the organisation, partnering on critical projects. This is an established business that still maintains agility in its decision making.

Within this varied commercial role will see you involved in:

- IT transformations, cloud based contracts and SAAS agreements;
- supplier projects and negotiations;
- DP projects;
- Drafting and negotiation of high value, high risk and highly import contracts;
- Involvement in some regulatory matters but specialists are at hand for consumer issues;
- Advising procurement team on new deals and renewals; 

Whilst some knowledge of the financial services sector could be useful, it is certainly not essential. The role essentially is a varied commercial contract role, in a business on an upward trajectory. This is an excellent opportunity for a at the earlier stage of their career to expand their experience in a team of lawyers from top-tier backgrounds. It's also a time of positive transformation for the business and the legal team is heavily involved in the new business strategy.
