Legal Counsel - Corporate - Bahrain

This is an excellent opportunity to join a significant entity in the financial services sector who work into multiple jurisdictions globally. You will be joining the team based in Bahrain in an important role reporting to the GC and working in close coordination with other members of the legal and compliance function, as well as wider parts of the business.

The role is a stimulating mix of corporate work, such as assisting on corporate documents and transactions related to joint ventures, strategic acquisitions, and restructuring matters. You will also be expected to draft corporate resolutions and provide support for the company secretarial team in some instances. Key responsibilities also include a focus on regulatory and compliance matters in relation to GDPR as well as assisting on the structuring and setting up funds, investment management, advisory and distribution related agreements.

Applicants will have at least 4 years of experience working for an international law firm or significant in-house entity in the Kingdom of Bahrain, ideally within the financial services sector. Candidates coming from common law jurisdictions such as the UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand or those with a Bahrain legal qualification and an international LLM or JD would be of interest.

Remuneration: £135,000 - £150,000 tax free.
