This vibrant West End practice has a rich history dating back four decades. They have got an excellent reputation in the market for dealing with high-quality work with an esteemed client base to complement. You will find an interesting and diverse client base that is made up of affluent HNW individuals, OMB, SME's and some well-known brands.

The firm has recently been involved in several high-profile pieces of litigation, working on the other side of large City and US practices.

You will find the firm has a strong International presence with many of its clients having overseas interests, they are also part of a global network of independent law firms. This alliance provides the firm with a constant flow of interesting work.

The firm stands at 90 members of staff. They are a dynamic practice that doesn't have the corporate red tape and bureaucracy of larger firms, and as such they can act quickly on spotting trends and opportunities quickly, also you will find that the firm can reward and progress staff based more on merit than competencies. The firm has a track record of developing and nurturing its legal talent, as such they have a growing number of "homegrown partners".

The role

This leading West End practice is seeking to hire an Intellectual Property Partner.

The firm currently has two Intellectual Property Consultant Solicitors. Due to the hire of two new Corporate Commercial Partners, and an influx in work, the firm is seeking an Intellectual Property Partner to come in to lead and grow the department.

You will work closely alongside the highly regarded Corporate Commercial Head of the Department. You will work with the Partnership to drive this break-off department forward, you will also have a lot of autonomy to make the role your own.

You will have the opportunity to get involved in strategic conversations and planning regarding the future direction of this new department.

You will deal with a diverse and broad caseload of soft Ip matters. You will work across a wide range of industry sectors.

Requirements

  • You will be an Intellectual Property Solicitor with at least seven years PQE (there is no upper limit regarding the amount of experience)
  • You should have strong technical experience
  • Good business development experience is of advantage
  • First-class communication skills are essential
