Insolvency/Restructuring Partner - Cayman Islands

We are assisting a leading offshore law firm in the hire of a seasoned Insolvency/Restructuring Partner to both lead and strengthen their well-established disputes practice in the Cayman Islands. The firm is seeking a dynamic senior lawyer who can propel the Insolvency/Restructuring team forward, thus requiring an applicant who is not only technically superb but also a recognised rainmaker in the field.

The successful candidate will lead and manage the Insolvency/Restructuring practice, focusing on strategic growth and leveraging their established reputation (ideally) in Cayman Islands insolvency work. Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and managing the Insolvency/Restructuring practice with a strategic growth focus
• Enhancing the firm's presence in this specialised area through an established reputation in Cayman Islands insolvency work
• Bringing a significant book of business or demonstrating a proven track record of generating business in the field of insolvency
• Cultivating and nurturing client relationships relevant to Cayman Islands work, fostering business development opportunities
• Collaborating effectively within a dynamic team both on-island and internationally

To be considered, you will need to possess:

• Recognised expertise in Insolvency/Restructuring law with a focus on the Cayman Islands jurisdiction (or at the very least a market-leading reputation for insolvency work in another mainstream jurisdiction)
• A proven ability to generate business, either with an existing Cayman reputation or a substantial track record in another market 
• Consideration for counsel-level candidates with a compelling reputation in the Cayman Islands market
• A commitment to excellence and a desire to lead and mentor a team of dedicated professionals
