Opportunity

We are seeking an ambitious and highly motivated Associate or Senior Associate to join our client's Financial Lines Insurance team in Sydney. This is an exciting opportunity to work directly with a highly rated partner, a pre-eminent insurance practitioner, and be part of a dynamic and collaborative team that advises on complex and high-profile matters.

About the Role

• Handle complex financial lines, professional indemnity, class actions, and director and officers (D&O) matters from both a defence and coverage perspective

• Work closely with clients, including large insurers and Lloyd's syndicates, to understand their business needs and develop strong relationships

• Enjoy autonomy and development opportunities to drive and make a significant contribution to matter outcomes

• Foster and generate client relationships and engage in business development

Key Skills and Experience

• AUS/NZ qualified, with 4+ years' PQE (UK qualified lawyers will also be considered)

• General insurance litigation, financial lines, professional indemnity, and director and officers (D&O) experience

• Strong academic credentials, self-driven with excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong time management skills and ability to manage competing priorities effectively

• Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to work independently and coach, mentor, and develop more junior staff

• Commercial awareness and confidence in building client relationships
