Construction disputes - award-winning team 2-3 PQE

Our client is an ambitious and growing international law firm with offices around the world.

They're renowned for a deep understanding of their clients' markets, and their dispute resolution group works across the sector specialisms to represent clients in high value, complex commercial disputes. They have a track record of success in all forms of dispute resolution and the team management adopts an empathetic and empathetic approach to Associates' career aspirations.

The firm's construction disputes practice is high profile and award winning. They are now looking for an additional mid-level (2-3 PQE, ideally)-level Associate.

In this role, you will join a specialist team in providing clients with high quality advice in relation to all forms of construction dispute resolution, as well as ongoing project execution support in connection with a broad range of projects including in particular:

• high end residential development;
• hotels; and
• large UK infrastructure including transport and renewable energy (solar, biomass, EFW and windfarms).

The team prides itself on being effective and commercially astute, regularly representing clients in serial adjudications and cases through to trial/final hearing and appeal where necessary. They frequently provide strategic advice in relation to different laws and procedural rules, whether in Courts or arbitration.

To be considered for a role in this very highly regarded team, you will have:

• A strong academic pedigree;
• Trained, qualified, and accumulated most likely 2-3 years' post-qualification experience from a City or international law firm;
• High quality post-qualification experience focusing on contentious construction law;
• A growth mindset, and hunger to develop as a construction lawyer;
• Strong legal and analytical skills, a proactive and confident attitude and a high level of initiative;
• Experience of mediation adjudication, Court proceedings (TCC) and/or International/domestic Arbitration;
• Experience of major relevant contract forms in particular JCT and NEC.
• Excellent communication, professionalism and interpersonal skills
