Actions Against Police Solicitor

Your new company
Our client is a reputable Liverpool firm specialising in Actions Against the Police. They are currently looking to recruit a solicitor/lawyer with previous relevant experience to join their Liverpool office on a full-time basis. This role is fully office based and is easily accessible by car or public transport. You will receive great opportunities to progress your career within the field and work closely with Partners on higher-value, complex work.

Your new role
This Actions Against the Police role will see you handle your own caseload, including investigations, obtaining expert evidence, drafting Letters of Claim, settlement negotiations, drafting pleadings and litigating as appropriate. Claims can vary in value but involve false imprisonment, assault/battery/excessive force, breach of human rights, malicious prosecution and discrimination claims.

What you'll need to succeed
You must be a qualified solicitor/lawyer with previous experience in Actions Against the Police or Civil Liberties. Applicants must have handled their own caseload of claims from cradle to grave. Excellent client-care and communication skills are required.
