FULLY REMOTE – FLEXIBLE HOURS

  • Unique (and frankly, unheard of) opportunity for a Scottish commercial / data privacy solicitor with between 1 and 6 Years’ PQE to move inhouse and join a tech company.
 
  • You will work on a fully remote basis – there are offices you can use at your convenience, but you must be comfortable operating in a fully remote role and building relationships virtually.
 
  • The salary range is NOT a typo – they genuinely will pay 1 PQE solicitors in Scotland £70k, with candidates with greater PQE paid more per the advertised banding. They also offer a very attractive benefits package which includes private medical and dental insurance, work from home office stipend, enhanced family leave, generous annual leave allowance etc.
 
  • Candidates must have at least some grounding in data protection/privacy, and have an interest in transitioning to a predominantly data privacy role.
 
  • The role will be approximately 80% data privacy and 20% general commercial work. You’ll be the lead data privacy advisor for EMEA, advising on UK and European data privacy matters (including DSARs, data breaches and developing the company’s overall data privacy compliance regime) together with general commercial contract work – SaaS, outsourcing etc.
 
  • You’ll be joining a well-stocked legal team – you’ll have an experienced hiring manager who is a great mentor and will support you every step of the way; together with several other team mates who will always be on hand to assist and help you settle in.
 
  • You’ll be joining a worldwide tech company with the opportunity to travel internationally, too.
