The role

As an Investigation Lawyer you will advise on a mixed caseload across the investigation teams. You will need excellent investigative, communication, written, and analytical skills to work with and advise our Investigators. You must be a self-starter able to make autonomous, robust, proportionate, and evidence-based decisions. You will be expected to lead as a technical expert in investigation, supporting the Senior Lawyer (Investigations) at a strategic level, playing a pivotal role in maintaining high standards of care for people using pharmacy services.
This role is subject to a basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check as part of our pre-employment due diligence.

The successful applicant will:

  • Effectively advise, investigate, and progress cases under investigation and ensure cases progressing to the Fitness to Practise Committee are prepared appropriately.
  • Have experience of making proportionate evidence-based decisions, whilst being solutions focused, striving to ensure cases are completed in line with quality, timeliness, and cost objectives.
  • Champion change and drive improvements in service delivery. Represent or deputise for the Senior Lawyers for matters relating to the investigation of all types of cases.
  • Work collaboratively as part of professional regulation (Fitness to Practise) to ensure the quality of investigations proceeding to hearing are sufficient to meet our statutory objective of keeping people safe.
  • Have an unwavering commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
