Our client, a dynamic award winning international law firm, has an opening for a bright, enthusiastic lawyer to join their busy Construction Insurance team in London. If you're an experienced Associate with 2 - 5 years PQE within a Construction/Insurance team, this could be the opportunity you are seeking with a reputable and highly established firm.

This thriving Construction Insurance team is seeking a lawyer to join their Insurance Group which has a well-established client base, acting for the vast majority of Professional Indemnity insurers in the market.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Defending liability claims both pre and post litigation at high levels, but also advises on associated matters regarding all aspects of a claim, pre-litigation.
  • Professional Indemnity matters including a broad and complex variety of claims against various construction related professionals such as designers, engineers, surveyors, architects and build contractors.
  • Excellent technical ability in managing a large and varied caseload with minimum supervision.
  • Drafting and negotiating all aspects of contracts within Construction and Professional Indemnity matters.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and management skills when liaising and advising high-net-worth clients and the ability to business develop.
  • Insurance experience is helpful but not essential.
  • The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work within a vibrant and growing team.
  • The work will be varied and challenging and you will be given full autonomy of your own caseload.
  • Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years PQE with a sound understanding of multi-track cases.

You will also have the opportunity to get involved with business development and client initiatives.
