A global firm is currently seeking a Junior Company Secretary to join their Office of General Counsel in London. The successful candidate will support the internal risk & compliance team by providing corporate legal and governance services to the firm and its network of offices. The individual will be responsible for managing the Firm’s company secretarial function ensuring a consistent and compliant approach across all offices globally. Duties include: 1.) Ensuring the Firm’s company secretarial compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and corporate policies (including the UK’s Corporate Governance Code) and implementing appropriate procedures and monitoring systems. 2.) Managing the Firm’s global corporate governance databases (including all books, records, structure charts…etc.) and ensuring a consistent approach to corporate legal and governance services 3.) Working with external company secretarial service providers in performing legal entity management and other internal teams to assist with other compliance-based projects. Applicants should be qualified lawyers between NQ-3 PQE looking for an internal, advisory role with a good work/life balance. Those with a corporate governance or risk & compliance background are of particular interest. The firm offers a unique role with a leading law firm offering a remuneration package of up to £72,000 (dependent on experience).
