Transform you AML career journey with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). As a Senior Ethics and AML Consultant, you will be at the forefront of delivering unparalleled Ethics and AML advice to individuals, organizations, and stakeholders seeking guidance from ICAEW.

Your mission is to empower ICAEW members to maintain their knowledge in the accountancy and finance profession. Through a seamless blend of telephone and digital communication channels, you will offer best practice advice, guidance, and professional opinions on ethical and anti-money laundering issues.

In this role, you'll find yourself immersed in a dynamic and varied set of responsibilities. You'll be the go-to person for resolving member enquiries across different channels, diagnosing and offering comprehensive practical advice on regulatory, ethical, money laundering, and professional matters.

Beyond this, your creative side will shine as you develop materials to support members in a multi-media environment, ensuring a 24/7 service is available. Your role extends to being a final technical reviewer of materials developed by others, ensuring top-notch quality.

But that's not all. You'll be the driving force behind the continued development of specialist knowledge in regulatory, ethical, and anti-money laundering issues. Your expertise will not only assist in answering enquiries but also identify more complex issues for guidance and support to the team or transfer to appropriate specialist teams.

Collaboration is key, and you'll build and maintain relationships with specialists in other departments to share knowledge, enriching our collective service. Your influence will extend to representing Technical Advisory Services at ICAEW committee meetings and events throughout the UK.

You won't just stop at personal growth. As a Senior Ethics and AML Consultant, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting the training of professional consultants and colleagues in Ethics and AML, aligning with business needs.

Who are you?

Your commitment to maintaining a thorough, up-to-date knowledge and understanding of relevant bye-laws, standards, regulations, guidance, and legislation will set the standard and you will either have a professional accounting qualification or some other equivalent accreditation.

You will probably be working in a professional services environment in an Ethics and/or AML role where best-in-class customer service comes second nature to you. Your empathy skills and pragmatic approach to solutions will set you apart from your colleagues and you will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

You also have experience of analysing problems at a larger scale, diagnosing and spotting trends and then putting solutions in place to support our members on their Ethics and AML journey.
