Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Personal Injury Lawyer to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about advocating for the rights of individuals who have suffered injuries due to the negligence or intentional actions of others. The Personal Injury Lawyer will be responsible for providing legal representation to clients, conducting thorough investigations, negotiating settlements, and, when necessary, litigating cases in court. MOJ Portal experience is essential as is a thorough knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules.

Responsibilities:

  1. Client Consultation:

    • Meet with clients to discuss the details of their personal injury cases.
    • Provide legal advice and guidance based on the evaluation of the case.
  2. Case Evaluation and Investigation:

    • Conduct thorough investigations into the circumstances surrounding each case.
    • Gather evidence, interview witnesses, and consult with experts as needed to build a strong case.
  3. Legal Research and Analysis:

    • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and legal precedents related to personal injury.
    • Analyse legal issues and precedents to provide effective legal counsel.
  4. Negotiation and Settlement:

    • Engage in negotiations with opposing parties, insurance companies, and defence attorneys to reach favourable settlements for clients.
    • Draft settlement agreements and ensure clients' interests are protected.
  5. Litigation:

    • Prepare and file legal documents, including complaints and motions, when necessary.
    • Represent clients in court during hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.
  6. Client Communication:

    • Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates on case progress and address any concerns.
    • Educate clients on their rights and legal options throughout the process.
  7. Legal Strategy:

    • Develop effective legal strategies tailored to each case.
    • Work collaboratively with other legal professionals within the firm to leverage collective expertise.

Qualifications:

  1. Admission as a Solicitor or FILEx and be in good standing.
  2. Proven experience in personal injury law, with a focus on plaintiff representation.
  3. Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  4. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  6. Trial experience is a plus.
