IP/Trademarks lawyer - Partner - US firm to £750,000 - future leader - successor practice

You will be part of a global practice group which is important for support, access and management buy in from fellow IP lawyers. That, and flexible charge out rates has allowed some other ‘less US firm’ practice areas to flourish at the London office of this well-established full service US law firm. 

You will be part of one of the largest global IP practices with over 200 lawyers and the group represents a number of global brands across a number of industry sectors. Some of the firm’s key clients (and clients of the IP team) individually generate in excess of $50 million per year. The firm is building a European IP practice covering the full range of trademarks and brand protection in London. Firmwide, the IP lawyers have won a number of awards and a number are consistently listed in the WTR 1000. The firm has a well-developed European office network and the firm is looking to hire IP partners in key locations. 

London has a well-regarded IP practice which is still a relatively small team of lawyers and there is a great opportunity for a partner or team to join forces and develop a directories leading practice. There is also a succession element, the current head of IP has a bountiful practice and there is a plan to potentially step back a bit over the next five years.  This hire is to position someone to takeover the role and integrate with the clients. Ideally you should have been a partner for between 2 and 6 years and feel that you ready for more, in a leaner group where you will be immediately visible on a global stage.
