In-House Group Counsel

Our client is seeking to appoint senior lawyer to the group legal team, reporting to the General Counsel.  This position encompasses a broad remit that will suit either an experienced in-house counsel or a private practice lawyer looking to make their first move in-house. The primary objective of this position will be to support the group functions and divisions, working closely with the Group General Counsel in the delivery of commercial legal and contractual advice.

In this role you will be responsible for complex contracting across the supply chain from sales through to procurement, IP, and Technology.  There will be interesting exposure to strategic projects across areas such as finance, treasury, and governance.  There will be strong engagement with the business with the opportunity to deliver training to the business and to contribute to legal operations around contracting, procurement and risk management.

Qualification & Skills

• UK or Irish legal qualification with at least five years’ post-qualification experience; Ability to understand legal, commercial and operational factors and to develop strong stakeholder relationships with senior business leaders on a wide range of legal and commercial issues; and Ability to work in a team and collaborate with business leaders and Divisional In-House Counsel
