COMMERCIAL LITIGATION (BERMUDA) (5 - 8 PQE) (US$150K - US$200K) (6% TAX)

A new Senior Associate role has arisen at the Bermuda office of this heavyweight global offshore firm which continues to go from strength to strength, with all of its major practice areas undergoing significant growth over the last few years.

You will need to be admitted in either the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, South Africa, Bermuda or another major offshore jurisdiction, and have gained between 5 - 8 years' post-qualification experience at a leading onshore or offshore firm, or a well-regarded set of chancery or commercial chambers. 

The role will involve advising on all aspects of litigation and dispute resolution work with particular emphasis on contentious insolvency, creditor and shareholder remedies, general commercial litigation, contentious trust disputes and regulatory related disputes. You will also be involved with helping to develop existing client relationships, assisting with business development, participating in the development of the practice’s know-how, sharing knowledge, and participating in conferences, seminars and internal training. A clearly defined career development path with strong promotion prospects awaits the successful candidate.

Ease of transition

All the islands have English as their main language and have a very friendly, lively and cosmopolitan expat community (circa 50% of the population in Bermuda, BVI and Cayman are expats drawn from every corner of the globe), which makes settling into island life much easier. In addition, no exams are necessary to get admitted and practise in Cayman, BVI or Bermuda.
