Legal Counsel

A great opportunity has arisen for a commercial lawyer with 1-3 PQE to join a retailer based in Liverpool City Centre. The organisation is part of a wider listed group with a combined team of 7 lawyers.

Reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel you will:

- Advise on all legal and regulatory issues (including FCA payments/ e-money requirements, GDPR and data protection);
- Advise on, negotiate and draft customer terms and conditions retailer agreements and all other contracts;
- Provide legal support to the sales, commercial and procurement teams with new and existing contracts and tender exercises; and
- Provide regulatory legal advice on all applicable legislation, including, anti-money laundering, GDPR, FCA Handbook and consumer protection legislation.

Experience in an FCA regulated environment would be useful but isn't essential. You should be confident dealing with a broad range of commercial and regulatory issues and be keen to gain experience in a well-backed retail environment.

The team operate a hybrid working policy and spend 2-3 days a week in the Liverpool office.
