Construction Solicitor

Sacco Mann is working in partnership with the UK subsidiary of a leading energy group of over 70 companies that owns and operates assets across Europe. The existing legal team - which is genuinely integral and highly valued legal team is currently based in their London HQ, however they are now looking to build a team in Leeds and can offer hybrid working of 2 days in the office and 3 wfh. There now exists a requirement to recruit a senior solicitor to head up this legal function and we'd be interested in hearing from lawyers who have a background in either construction, projects or commercial law and an interest in developing junior lawyers and nurturing their talent.

The role will require you to provide legal support across the business, but with a focus on:

 development and construction projects in the UK and Ireland;

 acquisition of suitable assets / development opportunities on the secondary market; and

 the operation and optimisation of our existing fleet of assets.

This will involve:

 advising the project and execute teams on issues and transactions arising through the whole lifecycle of renewable and conventional energy projects;

 advising on key construction, commercial, planning and finance agreements with local and international counterparties;
