We are currently inviting expressions of interest from experienced derivatives lawyers with a minimum of 5 years PQE for an exciting opportunity with a top-tier international law firm in Hong Kong.
Our esteemed client advises a diverse range of entities, including investment banks, funds, insurance companies, and corporates, on complex structured finance and derivatives transactions throughout the Asia Pacific region.
The successful candidate will be involved in a wide array of work, which includes:
- Equity, credit, fund-linked, FX, and interest rate derivatives (including over-the-counter and listed/unlisted securitized products).
- Equity financing and trade financing in both loan and derivative formats.
- Structured repos and securities loans.
- Structured credit transactions, encompassing credit linked notes, CLOs, and repackagings.
- Regulatory matters, including IBOR transition and margin for uncleared derivatives, as well as disputes.
To be considered for this role, you must be admitted to practice in Hong Kong and/or England & Wales, possess a strong academic background and have developed relevant experience within a recognised practice in Hong Kong or overseas. Proficiency in English is essential, while fluency in Chinese would be highly advantageous.
In all cases, it is important that candidates will have superior drafting and transaction management abilities allied to a commercial approach and an ability to articulate and negotiate effectively. With a strong attention to detail and well-developed analytical skills, you will need to be an enthusiastic team player who can provide leadership and mentoring to juniors, whilst also working independently when required.
