Commercial Solicitor - Legal Operations (Contract, Remote)

An entirely remote position is available for a senior commercial lawyer able to start on a fixed 12 month contract at short notice. Our client, a financial institution in the retail banking space is looking to cover a maternity leave. Essentially the person would have a workload of supplier contracts which they would be asked to review, draft and negotiate in conjunction with the procurement team. You would handle projects across the organisation liaising with internal stakeholders and supervising more junior lawyers. You will deal with strategic commercial matters in relation to outsourcing, goods and services, and IT agreements. You would work in a team of 4 as part of a larger legal department where the team is responsible for all commercial work primarily dealing with suppliers but also covering IP, competition and regulatory matters arising, including the new outsourcing rules.
