Job Details

This is a key and newly created role with the Financial Regulator on Guernsey, to perform a pivotal role in providing practical legal advice across their various functions/divisions, as part of a small in-house legal team. They are especially seeking a qualified lawyer, holding a practising certificate in either the UK, the Commonwealth or another common law jurisdiction, who has 3 or more years of litigation experience, ideally also with some exposure to the areas of regulatory law and practice, commercial and/or corporate law. The successful applicant will need to have excellent decision making and negotiation skills, be able to communicate clearly and professionally across all job levels, and demonstrate a positive ‘can do’ attitude, whilst taking personal responsibility for their own workload and managing changing priorities in a flexible way. The role will be classed as a technical specialist equivalent in their structure (with appropriate salary package at this level), while they are also open to both full- and part-time applications (though for a minimum of 25hrs per week if PT). For more information on this exciting in-house role, please apply now!
