In-House Commercial Lawyer, NQ - 3 PQE, West Midlands

Excellent opportunity for a junior lawyer (NQ – 3 years) to develop their skills in a fast-moving global business where you will support on a range of commercial matters.

This Midlands based business is part of a large international listed group with an established legal team of 7 in the UK.  You will have responsibility for an interesting mix of commercial contracts and commercial work whilst having the support of a group of highly experienced colleagues.  Reporting into the Head of Legal and Senior Legal Counsel, you will undertake a broad business facing role with an emphasis on advising on, drafting and negotiating commercial contracts. Specific areas include procurement and supplier agreements, IT IP, data protection and advertising and marketing and the successful candidate may be offered more exposure in areas that they find particularly interesting such as regulatory or compliance areas.

This could either be a great, first-time in-house move following commercial experience within private practice or a new challenge for an existing in-house lawyer looking for an opportunity to progress.  The office culture is extremely friendly and relaxed and offers an excellent work life balance, necessitating only 1 day per week in the office but with the opportunity for more should you feel the need for support.  You will have lots of interaction across all areas of the wider business so this position would be suited to a lawyer who enjoys working closely with colleagues and building internal relationships.  We are keen to hear from lawyers with NQ – 3 years’ experience gained in-house or in private practice.
