There are perhaps fewer than a half-dozen law firms in the world which can credibly claim to have a truly global real estate offering; this international player is one such firm. The advantage of this model is reflected in the margins for its cross-border real estate transactions; simply put, for more-or-less the same work input as domestic transactions, it can legitimately charge more – even to the same clients. Happily, this model has worked well in the post-Brexit environment which has increasingly seen (historically) domestic, and North American, real estate actors become far more active in Europe and beyond.
The firm believes that its global real estate offering is not only in lockstep with the evolving future of the real estate market, but provides an obvious hedge against a notoriously cyclical market.
