**BAHRAIN - SENIOR ASSOCIATE – CORPORATE M&A**

This is a rare opportunity for a high-flying common law qualified transactional corporate lawyer to join a global law firm with Tier 1 ranked Corporate M&A Practice in Bahrain!

Our client is a major global law firm with a strong network of offices across the continents.  Its Bahrain office has been established for more than 60 years, and is consistently ranked as Tier 1 in all the regional directories in the Corporate, Real Estate and Banking spheres.

A new vacancy has arisen for a common law qualified senior transactional lawyer to join its collegiate International Corporate team in Bahrain, which is led by several UK qualified corporate partners in situ. As Senior Associate, you will play a pivotal role in a variety of deals including acting for clients from both local and international companies, across a range of market sectors as well as joint ventures and acquisitions and sales through equity capital markets deals, private equity, or business transfers. Much of the work will be high profile and complex. 

Responsibilities of the role include:

• Project managing transactions;
• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating the full range of corporate documentation;
• Building and maintaining effective client relationships;
• Working as part of the wider international corporate team on a cross-border basis when required;
• Participating in marketing initiatives;
• Training and mentoring more junior team members.

Requirements for the role include:

• UK/Australasian/Canadian qualified lawyer with 6 years + PQE;
• Cross border corporate M&A experience gained at a leading corporate practice;
• Proven track record of leading on transactions;
• Prior regional Middle Eastern deal experience preferred;
• Flexibility, positivity and an ability to work effectively in a close-knit office;
• An interest in business development; and
• A strong transactional track record.
