A Chambers-rated Legal 200 firm are now seeking an experienced Senior Residential Property Solicitor or ILEX Conveyancer to join their growing team based in the Thames Valley. The successful individual will focus on a mix of transactions including: high-net-worth residential sales and purchases within a collegiate and dynamic environment. The ideal individual will have at least 4-5 years of residential property experience. Any time spent in a management role would be an advantage.
The ideal individual will be able to exhibit some exposure to marketing and business development as this role offers extensive scope to be involved with key business development initiatives.
The successful candidate will be expected to lead clients on all aspects of the buying, selling and re-mortgage process, including legal issues, finances and contracts and as more particularly described below.
- The ability to handle significant volumes of transactions to include raising enquiries on purchases, preparing reports to clients, issuing contract packs and auction packs.
- Deal with high value properties, high net worth individuals and their advisers on a day to day basis
- Working closely with the Partner in the team and assisting him with his transactions and his clients.
- Assist in building new business relationships and promote both the team’s services and the firm’s broader legal services to developers, agents and others.
- Working on developer and Government sponsored house purchase incentive schemes
- Assisting with all aspects of conveyancing to include assisting with the preparation of completion statements, preparing Transfers and assisting with post completion formalities to include submitting stamp duty returns and AP1’s for registration.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- 4-5 years of experience with leasehold and freehold conveyancing
- Able to work under pressure maintaining attention to detail and meet tight deadlines
- Proactive with commercial and financial awareness
- Excellent communication and organisational skills at all levels and a true team ethos
Qualifications
- 4 PQE+ - Solid experience in residential conveyancing is essential.
