Senior Commercial Lawyer and Company Secretary
I have been exclusively instructed on an opportunity to join an established financial services company as their sole commercial lawyer and company secretary.
They are looking for an experienced commercial contracts lawyer to report directly to the overall head of compliance. The role will be drafting, negotiating, and reviewing a wide range of contracts including but not limited to commercial contracts, vendor agreements, client agreements, and employment contracts. As company secretary you will have responsibility for ensuring compliance with all financial and statutory requirements at board level. You will be an integral part of the business and work closely with internal stakeholders, including finance, commercial, compliance, HR, technology and operations teams to support all commercial functions.
You will have proven experience as a contracts lawyer preferably in an in-house legal department or a law firm, previous company secretarial experience is not necessary although this role presents the opportunity to gain experience in this area. Attitude is important in this lean yet collaborative team, so the ideal candidate will be versatile, efficient, proactive and an excellent communicator with strong academics and understanding of contract law. This is an excellent opportunity with genuine exposure to senior stakeholders covering a broad range of commercial legal work and company secretarial duties.
