Part-time Knowledge Lawyer, London or Offshore
Our client, a leading international offshore firm is looking for an experienced lawyer to join its Knowledge Management team, to be based in London, Jersey, Guernsey or Cayman.
You will be responsible for promoting and delivering knowledge strategy, working closely with all practice areas. You will provide training and support to lawyers across the firms international offices via briefings and thought leadership initiatives, and ensuring fee-earners have up to date legal tools and resources to deliver client work efficiently, as well as assisting with the distribution of legal technology both internally and externally for clients.
This is a perfect opportunity if you are an experienced offshore lawyer looking to make a move into a global Knowledge Management team at an award winning firm.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
The role will involve:
- Keeping practice areas up to date with new legal and regulatory developments.
- Providing an annual training and development programme.
- Acting as an advisory point of contact for the practice areas.
- Drafting and maintain precedents, guidance notes, checklists, practice notes and know-how.
- Assisting with the development and delivery of automation projects and KM client solutions, as required.
- Collating knowledge and know-how collections.
- Supporting tenders and pitches.
- Creating a pipeline of articles, news, and briefings to promote the firm's services.
- Developing and maintaining digital legal content to support the firm's BD plans
- Working with the Head of KM to define and agree knowledge priorities each year.
- Championing KM activities and promote best practice.
ABOUT YOU
You will have:
- At least 5 years+ PQE with Jersey, Guernsey, Cayman, BVI and/or UK/Commonwealth qualifications
- Experience as an offshore lawyer
- Excellent legal technical ability
- Business development acumen and commercial awareness
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience of knowledge management desirable but not essential
