Banking & Finance Associate - NQ+, Surrey

We are assisting a leading law firm [Legal 100] who are looking for an ambitious Banking & Finance Solicitor to join their growing finance team based in Surrey. This firm are recognised for their modern approach and regularly attract praise for exceeding client expectations. We are looking for a technically strong, personable, versatile, commercially minded and ambitious lawyer to pursue a career in banking and finance in the long term. This is an excellent opportunity to work within one of the largest specialist finance practices outside London and with a team that is top-ranked in Chambers UK.

This fast-growing and dynamic team carry out a wide variety of work including: acquisition/leveraged finance, real estate finance, asset based lending, trade finance, venture debt and corporate cross-over debt products.

This is one of the few firms outside London who can comfortably manage high value club and syndicated finance transactions and the smaller value, bilateral deals. The team also have significant international reach, with well-established links across the world with tried and tested partner firms who frequently engage us on the English law aspects of banking and finance transactions. 

The ideal experience would include some of the following: leveraged finance; real estate finance and invoice discounting but any general corporate finance exposure would also be an asset. If you are an existing corporate solicitor but maybe considering a transition into banking and finance, we would like to speak with you in strictest confidence.

We are looking for a consistently good academic record with a minimum 2:1 at degree level. Any regional ties to the Surrey/Hampshire area are an advantage. A genuine appetite for business development is essential.
