Head of Legal

Brand new opportunity for an experienced commercial Solicitor with previous In-house exposure, to join a PE-backed, global precision engineering business based in West Midlands.

Reporting into the CFO, you'll become a member of the Group management team working closely with CEO, IT, HR, and Company Secretary functions with the primary objectives being to take responsibility and accountability for legal and compliance risk mitigation.

Its likely to suit a qualified Solicitor with at least 8 years PQE, and the ideal candidate will offer previous experience of working within a multi-business group, ideally within manufacturing, engineering or oil and gas. It's a rare opportunity to build a legal function from scratch and the role truly presents an opportunity to make of this role what you will.

Ultimately, the requirement is to recruit an agile, pragmatic and communicative commercial generalist solicitor who has solid relationship building skills. The role is based near Wednesbury and offers hybrid working with 3 days spent in the office liaising with key stakeholders and senior management.
